The engine skid plate will cover and protect the trucks low hanging aluminum front differential and the oil pan on the Xterra and Frontier. By design, it will provide easy access to drain the engine oil.

The skid plate is made of 1/4" thick aluminum CNC plasma cut and bent to specification to add strength and to reinforce the edges. That's a 33% increase in material thickness and strength compared to our previous skid plates! It does mount solidly to the frame of the truck and is designed for easy bolt-up installation with minimal drilling.

The engine skid plate requires drilling four 3/8” holes – this is to make it stronger without relying on the weak M8 OEM holes. If the radiator skid plate was purchased – it will share two holes with that one.

Besides giving peace of mind, these skid plates will help the truck get over obstacles by preventing the truck chassis cross-members from catching on whatever it is driving over.

The Hefty Fabworks Radiator Skid Plate will cover the trucks low hanging radiator on the Frontier.

The transmission skid plate does not require to drill any holes.

Since this is the biggest skid out of all we decided to attach it to the frame on the middle sides to make it extremely strong, as it should be.

Built Hefty tough to be abused, this bumper can handle the harshest off road terrains and was built with strength and function in mind. Using only the highest grade 5052-H34 Aluminum, the 1/4" main body, 3/8" mounting plates, and hardened and sleeved integrated recovery points make this a very strong and very light weight bumper (only 55 lbs) for your Xterra. Similar in strength to our Steel version at about 1/3rd the weight, it is the perfect choice for overland and everyday use. The light weight Aluminum series bumpers provide the protection you need without the negative effects on your fuel economy and suspension components of a heavy steel bumper. Yes you can run this bumper without suspension modifications. The recessed winch mount accepts most winches up to 10,000lbs with standard 10"x4.5" mounting pattern and a non-integrated solenoid. Synthetic line winches strongly suggested with our Aluminum series bumpers.

For Nissan Xterras with a 2" body lift. This bolt on panel fills the gap between the radiator skid plate and the front bumper associated with running a 2" body lift. In addition to the aesthetic appeal, this panel adds additional strength to the leading edge of the radiator skid. ***Will only work with the Hefty Fabworks Radiator skid plate, as this panel bolts directly onto it.
