cognito

The Cognito SM Series Upper Control Arms are designed to provide improved performance, style, and function for stock, leveled, and lifted applications. Featuring heavy-duty boxed sheet metal and finished in a durable semi-gloss black powder coat, these arms feature corrected ball joint angles for leveled and lifted trucks while allowing increased droop travel for improved ride quality and suspension performance. Each arm is equipped with Cognito Alpha Joints and maintenance-free pivot bushings.

Notice: Our Systems are not compatible with the ONBOARD SCALES/SMART HITCH. Modifying the ride height or spring rate will interfere with this system’s performance.

The patented Cognito Alpha Ball Joint is the next level, end-all be-all solution of upper ball joints. It eliminates the problematic dust/grease boot by using a durable scraper type seal that is not susceptible to damage that a traditional dust/grease boot is. Although the ball joint is firmly sealed and pre-greased, there is a grease fitting at top for any periodic maintenance needed. With a small internal cavity for grease, the joint does not need much at all. The internals are alloy steel, absent of any plastic liner, with alloy races and grease paths. The carburized and surface coated taper pin is a precise fit, has an oversized sphere in the socket for large contact surface providing excellent strength and wear characteristics.

Pitman and Idler arms have been an inherent wear problem within the steering systems of Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs for decades. The Cognito PISK (Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit) replaces the problem components that plague OE and aftermarket steering systems on several models and years of GM trucks and SUVs.These improvements are accomplished through application of Cognito's innovative, patented design, by providing additional support to the vehicles pitman and idler arms, which eliminate the forward and rearward movement of the center-link.Notes:Only for use on stock height or lifted vehicles with the OE center-link in the stock location.Only compatible with 3 bolt idler arm vehicles.
